West Valley Chorale’s Fifth Annual Young Singers Competition Results
The West Valley Chorale, under the direction of Ken Goodenberger, is pleased to announce the winners of our Fifth Annual Young Singers Competition.
First Place Winners – Max Farkas and Leilani Miranda
Second Place Winner – Brianna Stenke
We are already looking forward to our Sixth Annual Young Singers Competition which will be held during the fall of 2024. Up to $2000 in scholarships will be awarded.
High School Juniors and Seniors who reside in and attend high school in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area during the 2024-2025 school year are eligible and encouraged to apply.

The application will consist of the following:
1. A video that showcases their talent. Applicants may select a Classical or Broadway piece to perform.
2. An Application of Intent, with parental consent where applicants are under 18 signed by a
parent/guardian and a publicity head shot in .JPG format.
3. The video, head shot, and Application of Intent will be submitted by email to
YSCEntries@westvalleychoraleaz.org. Submission Deadline is TBD – Fall 2024.
Finals for our Young Singers Competition will take place at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd, Sun City West on TBD – Fall 2024. This website page will be updated throughout the competition period.
FUNDING: These competitions are funded solely through the generous donations of our audience. Donation jars and envelopes are available at all concerts for this purpose. Checks may be made out to The West Valley Chorale, P.O. Box 9415, Surprise AZ 85374. The West Valley Chorale is an Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization. Donations are tax exempt to the extent allowed by law.
